Panty and Stocking with GarterbeltIn the latest Anime Central convention, American production company FUNimation has announced that an English version of the Japanese anime Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt will be released. During their panel, two episodes were shown which were already dubbed in English and the voice actors were revealed.

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt tells the story of angels Panty and Stocking Anarchy who were kicked out of Heaven for their not-so-angelic behaviour. Anime “YuriYuri” Schedules Girls Night Event In Tokyo, Japan

On May 26, 2012, the anime YuriYuri will be holding an all girls night event in Tokyo, Japan. Strictly speaking , boys aren’t allowed to enter, however the official announcement has added “Still, for all you Yuri boys, we’re planning to livestream on Nico Nico.”

This comedic, slice-of-life Namori creation revolves around junior high school girls who take over the now defunct Tea Ceremony club room and together they form the Amusement Club. The amusement is led by Kyoko Toshino and Yui Funami.

YuriYuri is originally a manga written by Namori and published in Ichijinsha. It was first published in June 18, 2008 and currently has 7 volumes.… Keep Reading

Gundam diverMecha lovers will find this Tokyo spot a true wonder, as a new retail and entertainment compound has been built to realize the astonishing wonders of the science-fiction world of Gundam.

This building, located at the Odaiba waterfront district, is situated in the Koto Ward. An 18-meter Gundam Statue “Diver” is created to guard the area.

The facility is termed as the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, where the giant Gundam’s name was taken from, and contains a number of interesting retail outlets, which includes known brands such as H&M, UNIQLO and ZARA. Teaser for Manga-based Live Action Series Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu Released

Kyou, Koi who HajimemasuJapanese talent agency TOP COAT has started streaming the first teaser trailer for the upcoming drama series Kyou, Koi who Hajimemasu.

This title was based on Kanan Miyama’s manga of the same title, and stars singer and moderl Emi Takei (Rurouni Kenshin, Ai to Makoto) and Tori Matsuzaka (Samurai sentai Shinkenger, We Can’t Change the World). Takei will be playing Tsubaki Hibino, an old fashioned girl who looks like as if she came from Showa Era and Masuzaka will play Kyouta, a modern heartthrob.

Yasushi Akimoto’s Marimo no Hana Animated Movie

Marimo no HanaAs announced in the February Issue of Shueisha’s Ribon Nagareboshi Lens. Yuko Kasumi and Yasushi Akimoto’s shoujo manga Marimo no Hana is about to receive its own anime adaptation.

The manga, which has just launched in the Ribon magazine since 201, has been receiving much attention, apparently because of the fame of one of its makers. Yasushi Akimoto is the one who has created and produced Japan’s most-numbered girl group, AKB48.

In the recent advertisement for the upcoming issue of the Shueisha Ribon, the publication has released some details about the cast members which will be voice acting for the said anime project.… Keep Reading

Keiichi Arawi Draws Mai Aizawa’s Cover Art For Her Latest Single

Mai AizawaMai Aizawa is well known in the world of anime for lending her voices to numerous anime characters as well as singing their opening themes. This time, Aizawa takes a break from the anime world and has just finished recording her new single.

Her latest song, entitled “Kiminitodoke”, is written and produced by fu_mou. Manga artist Keiichi Arawi was tasked to provide the jacket art for Aizawa’s cd.

Keiichi Arawi (あらゐ けいいち) is the person behind the anime and manga series entitled Nichijou (日常). Nichijou is about high school students living normal lives despite the number of odd happenings in their school.… Keep Reading
