Rurouni Kenshin celebrates its 15th anniversary in the field of anime and manga by releasing a remake of the anime’s biggest arc in a two part OVA, the Shin Kyoto Hen.

Released on December 17, 2011, the Shin Kyoto Hen focuses on the Kyoto arc of the series but is told from the point of view of Misao Makimachi. Produced by Studio DEEN and directed by Furuhashi Kazahiro, Shin Kyoto Hen resembles a reunion for everyone. The voice actors for this OVA are nearly the same except for Saito Hajime. Saito Hajime’s original voice actor, Hirotoka Suzuki, passed away due to lung cancer in the year 2006 and is replaced by Ken Narita, a known voice actor who lent his voice talent to Ryuken Ishida from Bleach and Sesshomaru from Inu Yasha.… Keep Reading

The film follows the story of the 19-year-old college student Hana, who goes through a “fairy-tale like” love with a “wolf man”, and their two children – the older sister who was born on a snowy day, Yuki, and the younger brother who was born on a rainy day, Ame.

Giant Philippine television network ABS CBN has advertised the return of Sailor Moon on national television. The anime is said to be a part of the channel’s morning cartoon program called “Team Animazing 2012″ which is a mash of anime and western cartoons including Naruto, Jackie Chan Adventures and even Nickelodeon’s “Go Diego Go”.

Sailor Moon stars Usagi Tsukino, a high school student with blonde pigtails who is known for her slacker attitude and complete klutziness until she met Luna, a talking black cat, who gives her a brooch that transforms her into a superhero. With her many adventures, she discovers more girls who can transform like her and together, they fight against evil.

Naoku Takeuchi’s world famous magical girl anime first appeared on Philippine shores through the local channel ABC 5 (now known as TV 5) on 1995 starting with the first season until it reached the final Sailor Moon season, Sailor Stars.… Keep Reading

First off, the long-awaited details of the Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito (Akito the Exiled) project have finally been released.  The leads, Hyuga Akito and Reira Marukaru, will be voiced by Irino Miyu and Sakamoto Maaya respectively.  Sakamoto will also be singing the theme song, with composition by legendary Kanno Yoko and lyrics by Iwasato Yuho.  Most importantly, a trailer has been released:

After the huge success of the Fate/Stay Night anime, it was followed years late by Fate/Zero and there are slight changes made in the new Fate series that just couldn’t stop fans from pointing out changes and having small debates over which Fate is better.

The story for both Fates are the same; it is still about the War for the Holy Grail. Magi summon the greatest fighters of Earth’s past and they use these warriors to gain the upper hand in order to take control of the Holy Grail, a divine cup that grants wishes to whoever owns it. The only difference is the time setting: Fate/Zero happened a decade before Fate/Stay Night.

Another change is the anime producers. Fate/Stay Night is produced by Studio DEEN, a veteran Anime studio that has produced successful titles such as Weiss Kreuz, Ranma 1/2 and Rurouni Kenshin with their unique blend of delivering anime on television.… Keep Reading
